Affinity is designed for those who love bright, clean, and juicy coffees. It has the power to brighten up the complexion of your brew!

This mineral profile accentuates clarity, florality, and crisp acidity, making it the perfect choice for washed, and honey-processed coffees, for a lively and refreshing cup! Affinity can greatly reduce "funk" in fermented coffee if used as a pre-brew base!

Affinity is also designed for convenience, on-demand for any situation. Our squeeze bottle with precision dropper tip offers dosing in controlled droplets to squeezing out larger doses seamlessly. No more dosing with a dropper. No more brain work on mixing different minerals for brewing in the morning, or mixing sachets with large amounts of water.

When To Use Affinity?

As Pre-brew Base

→ By Processes: Wet, Washed, Anaerobic Washed, White/Yellow Honey, Thermal Shock, or to reduce "Funk" in Fermented Coffee

→ By Flavour Notes: Bright Fruits, Citrus, Pome Fruits, Bright Florals like Jasmine, Honeysuckle, or Lavender, Herbs like Thyme, Basil, or Lemon Verbena

As Post-brew Drops

→ When the coffee needs a touch of brightness or florals.

→ When the coffee is too heavy, cloying, or dark in complexion.

How To Use Affinity?

As Pre-brew Base

Start with 5g of Affinity concentrate per litre of distilled or deionised water ( or 1:200 ratio ).

Simply unscrew the tip cover, place your vessel on a 0.1g scale, squeeze your desired amount, and add water!

As Post-brew Drops

Per drop of Affinity weighs around 0.04g, adding 5ppm of minerals to 200ml of beverage.

Just 1 to 2 drops will make a noticeable difference

Adjusting Affinity

Higher Dose:

→ Flavour Intensity, Brightness, Juicy Body, Floral ↑

→ Aroma Intensity, Dark or Rich Complexion ↓

→ (Opposite is true for a Lower Dose)

Adjust higher when coffee lacks brightness or acidity, is too heavy, or can be more floral or juicy.

Adjust lower when coffee is too bright, herbal/bitter, has a harsh body, or salty, or can be fuller, richer, or more aromatic.

Affinity can also be blended with Catalyst, in varying ratios to achieve a customized balance, bringing added sweetness and body when needed.

Affinity Beyond Coffee

Affinity enhances the crisp, refreshing character of fruit juices like apple, cranberry, pomegranate, and citrus. It also highlights floral notes such as jasmine, elderflower, and lily, elevating such delicate qualities.

In Matcha and Tea, it can highlight floral and vegetal/herbaceous notes, with light and crisp mouthfeel.

When used in wine, Affinity can refine heavier wines like Cabernet Sauvignon, creating a lighter, more balanced and approachable drinking experience.
